Meet the engineer
Derek Liang is an audio engineer, music producer and session guitarist & pianist, with a Bachelor of Audio Engineering degree from SAE Sydney.
Derek’s creative journey began with piano and music theory in 2002, but his musical curiosity led him to add both guitar and bass to his instrumental repertoire. In a quest to understand how his favourite records were made, Derek dived into his passion of audio engineering in 2012. After years of writing, producing, recording and mixing, Derek founded Alive Productions, and has had the privilege of working with a range of musicians, film directors and creative minds.
