 Online Mixing Preparation Guide

  • It is recommended to correct any production elements that you are unhappy with before mixing. If you are unsure, let us know and we can give you some suggestions on whether it is ready to be mixed.

  • Whilst we can help you with editing, it is usually better to complete editing yourself before sending in the tracks. This ensures all musical aspects (eg. groove timing, vocal pitch, etc.) are exactly how you want them to be.

  • If an effect is a critical part of the performance or the production of a track, please leave the effect ON the printed file. Additionally, you can include a clean version of that track too if you are not sure.

  • For effects other than the ones mentioned above, please make sure they are all removed from the printed tracks. Additionally, you can include one more file of the track with the effects ON as a reference for us.

  • We accept .WAV or .AIFF files at sampling rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96kHz, and bit depths of either 16, 24 or 32 bit. Please label all files clearly (eg. Lead Vocal, Harmony Vocal, etc.) and make sure they are not clipping (above 0dBFS). All files must be aligned from the beginning of your song with the same starting point.

Please put all files into one folder and create a zip file. You can include anything you find relevant into the folder as well, such as a rough mix, a lyrics document, a reference, or a song structural map.

  • After checking everything is correct, upload the zip file to a cloud sharing drive such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Copy the link and paste it in your submission form. Ensure the link is accessible by us.
